The short version
When Ram revealed the Rumble Bee earlier this year, plenty of people around here assumed it meant a yellow paint code and a stripe on the bedside. It doesn’t. This one is a shortened, widened Quad Cab short bed that sits low, wears 22-inch wheels, and comes with a HEMI V8 in every version — up to a supercharged 6.2L making 777 horsepower in the SRT.
Here’s the part that matters for you: trucks like this get allocated, not stocked. We won’t know exactly how many Jackson gets until Ram tells us, and the 392, Track Pack and SRT models are staged behind the 5.7L. So we keep a written list. First come, in order, no games about who gets bumped for what. If you’ve bought from us before, you already know that’s how we do it.

Pick your seat in the range
The Rumble Bee isn’t one truck with an options sheet. It’s a family, and the gap between the bottom and the top of it is enormous. Here’s how they line up.

The 5.7L Rumble Bee is projected to start reaching dealers in late 2026. The 392, 392 Track Pack and SRT are expected to follow in the first half of 2027. That staggering is why the list matters: if you want an SRT, the wait is longer, and the people who signed up early are the ones we’ll be calling.
We stock plenty of Ram 1500s right now, including Laramie and Limited builds that tow more than a Rumble Bee ever will. If the appeal for you is the V8 sound and not the quarter-mile time, it’s worth driving one while you’re waiting. Look at what’s on the lot.
Targets, not test results
Ram calls the SRT the fastest production truck ever. We’d point out that these are manufacturer targets on a preproduction truck, and independent testing hasn’t happened yet. Take them as intent rather than gospel — but even if the real numbers slip a tenth or two, this is still a pickup that runs an eleven-second quarter from the factory with a warranty.
Power gets to the ground through the TorqueFlite eight-speed with paddle shifters and a console-mounted gear selector. No rotary dial in this one. Drive is full-time four-wheel, with a front-axle disconnect button if you want the front wheels out of the equation.
Launch control is standard on the SRT and the 392 Track Pack. Press the button and the 12-inch cluster walks you through the procedure while the truck manages wheel slip, torque and shift timing.

The proportions are the whole point. Ram shortened the wheelbase and built the truck around a Quad Cab short bed, then pushed the body out to 88 inches wide with unique sheet metal. It turns sharper than a standard 1500 and it takes up more of the lane. You’ll notice both the first time you drive one down the bypass.
Every version rides on 22-inch aluminum wheels. The Rumble Bee and 392 get 285/45R22 Pirelli performance all-seasons; the Track Pack and SRT step up to 325/40R22 Goodyears rated for the full 170 mph. Four-corner air suspension is available, and Brembo six-piston fixed front calipers grab the largest rotors in the class.
Up front, the sport performance hood feeds air to the engine on the SRT, Track Pack and 392, and there’s a one-piece fascia with a front splitter underneath. LED headlamps and taillamps, color-matched mirrors, and a dual passive cold-end exhaust that Ram tuned to be heard.
Yes, the bumblebee graphic is part of it. No, we don’t have a confirmed color list yet — Ram hasn’t published the full palette, and we’re not going to guess at it and have you hold us to it in six months. When the order guide lands, we’ll go through it with you line by line.
Interior and technology
Bucket seats front and back, folding rear seats, and stitching specific to the Rumble Bee. The console shifter replaces the rotary dial you’d find in a Laramie, which tells you something about who Ram thinks is buying this. Paddle shifters sit behind the wheel, and Performance Pages let you watch what the truck is doing in real time.
The 12-inch digital cluster does double duty as the launch control coach. Drive modes are a button away, including the dedicated Track Mode that retunes engine, transmission, throttle, steering and suspension in one shot.
On the everyday side: dual wireless charging pads are available, so nobody argues about the cable on a drive to Nashville. The SRT carries a 19-speaker Harman Kardon system with active noise cancellation — more speakers than anything else in the class, which matters more than you’d think in a truck with an exhaust this loud.

Towing and payload
We’d rather tell you this up front than have you find out at delivery. The Rumble Bee is rated at 8,890 pounds of towing and up to 1,160 pounds of payload. That’s a bass boat, a two-horse bumper pull, or a small enclosed trailer. It is not a gooseneck of hay and it is not a skid steer.
If your weekends involve a camper and your weekdays involve a jobsite, the honest answer is that you want a 2500 alongside this thing, or instead of it. Come talk to us about the numbers before you order — we’d rather lose the sale than sell you the wrong truck and hear about it in the service lane.

Four steps, no mystery
Form or phone call, either is fine. We log the date and time, which model you want, and how to reach you. Nothing is owed at this stage.
When Ram tells us what Jackson is getting, we start working the list from the top. If your model isn’t in the first wave, we’ll say so instead of stringing you along.
We go through the order guide together, price it out in writing, and place the factory order. Any deposit terms are on paper before you hand over a dollar.
You get the VIN and the build status as it moves. Typical factory lead time runs a couple of months, though a launch truck can take longer.
A truck this far out means rates and your own situation may look different by delivery. Getting pre-approved now costs nothing and makes the paperwork short when the call comes. Apply online whenever you’re ready.
Whatever we ask for — and it may be nothing until the order is placed — you’ll get the terms in writing, including what happens if you change your mind. Ask for that document. Ask every dealer for that document.
From the showroom floor
No. The 2004 and 2013 versions were appearance packages on an otherwise standard truck. This one has a shortened wheelbase, widened body panels, its own suspension and brake hardware, and three engines that don’t appear in a regular 1500 the same way. The stripe is there, but it’s the least of what changed.
Ram built it as a Quad Cab with a short bed, which is what gives it the proportions. If you need Crew Cab rear-seat room for car seats or three across, look at a standard 1500 instead and we’ll help you spec one.
Not in this truck. Every Rumble Bee is HEMI V8 — the 5.7, the 6.4, or the supercharged 6.2. The inline-six lives elsewhere in the 1500 lineup.
Ram hadn’t published pricing when we built this page. We’re not going to invent a number. As soon as MSRP and the order guide are released, everyone on our list hears about it, and you’ll get a written quote before anything is signed.

A normal Ram factory order usually runs somewhere in the range of two to four months from acceptance to delivery. A launch-year specialty truck can run longer if a specific part or color holds it up. We’ll show you the build status as it moves rather than making you call for updates.
